SFA Secure Email Protocol

As part of the 835 enrollment process, the SFA uses secure email to protect confidential information when communicating with EI Billing Providers. The SFA uses an outside vendor, ZixMail, which provides encryption and allows the SFA to send emails securely.

If you receive an email from the SFA[1] with “SecureEmail” or “SecureMail” in the Subject Line, it has been encrypted and sent securely using ZixMail. In order to view the contents of this email, please follow these steps:

1) Open the email

2) Click the “Open Message” link to access the SFA’s secure server

3) Enter a password of your choice[2]

4) Click “Register”

Once you click register, you will be taken to an email inbox (screenshot below), where you will be able to access the email, as well as any attachments. You only have to register once; if you receive additional secure emails from the SFA, follow the “Open Message” link in the email to access the inbox.

If you forget your password, simply click “Reset” on the sign-in screen. This will take you to a page where you will be able to reset your password. Once you reset, a confirmation email will be sent to your email address. Follow the instructions included in the email to activate your new password.

If you have any questions about the SFA’s use of secure email, please contact the PCG Customer Service Center at (866) 315-3747.
