The EI-Hub launch will be rescheduled to Tuesday, October
15, 2024. The last date to enter data into NYEIS will be Friday, October 4,
2024.
Several Early Intervention Program (EIP) stakeholders,
including municipal and provider representatives, as well as the Early
Intervention Coordinating Council (EICC), recommended to the Department that
the EI-Hub launch be delayed to allow transitioning children to exit the
program and to give users additional time to learn the new system.
With the extended release date, municipalities and
providers are expected to use this time to continue learning about the EI-Hub,
practice in the sandbox, and prepare for the transition.
The
following steps must be taken now:
- Sign up for the Learning
Management System (LMS) here.
- Pursue all available training
opportunities, including resources, on the EI-Hub Launch Transition Resources page posted
on the LMS.
- Access and practice in the EI-Hub
Sandbox.
- Obtain Health Commerce System
(HCS) accounts if needed; more information is available here,
- Subscribe to the Department’s
NYEIS electronic mailing list by following the instructions on this page.
Please note that several programmatic and regulatory
requirements (including new qualified personnel titles) cannot be implemented
without the launch of the EI-Hub. Additionally, if the current EIP data system,
NYEIS has a system failure; the EI-Hub deployment plan will be initiated
immediately.
Further
information about the transition, including additional resources, training
opportunities, provider amendments/re-approval, and new application timelines,
will be forthcoming.
If
you have any questions, please get in touch with the EI-Hub Project Team at EIHub@health.ny.gov.
