EI Billing Providers:
On November 11,
2015, the SFA – PCG – sent a notice to all Early Intervention (EI) Billing Providers on the benefits of receiving
electronic remittance information via the 835 process. Providers will need to
take action to enroll in the 835 process – the necessary steps are outlined
below.
- Enrollment in the
835 process must be completed payer by
payer. For EI Billing Providers, that means that you will begin receiving
emails with instructions on how to enroll for each payer from the SFA during
the week of November 16, 2015. There will be one email sent for each payer in
your service area. (Note: The first payer that we will begin enrollment for is United
Health Care – in the next 24 hours you will receive an email regarding
enrollment for this payer.)
- Upon receiving an
email with instructions on how to enroll for a payer, please complete the
enrollment forms (or activities) as per the instructions provided as soon as
possible. Please do not edit any pre-populated fields on a form.
- If you have any
questions during the enrollment process, including any issues with enrollment
being rejected/denied, please contact the PCG Customer Service Center at (866)
315-3747. (Note: Do not contact Emdeon directly.)
The SFA and the
Bureau of Early Intervention (BEI) consider 835 to be the new standard for EI
Billing Providers to receive electronic remittance information. Providers should
begin the enrollment process as soon as they receive enrollment forms.
Following
enrollment in the 835 process, BEI will be ending manual entry of EOBs for all
EI Billing Providers. The SFA will work to guide you through this transition as
seamlessly as possible, so that all EI Billing Providers can begin enjoying the
multitude of benefits offered by the 835 process.
If you have any
questions about the enrollment process, please contact the PCG Customer Service
Center at (866) 315-3747.
